Compelling website development

The Site Well is a web development service operated by me, Karen Newell. I have worked for 23 years in the publishing industry performing management, production, technology and strategic planning duties. Known as a proficient taskmaster, I have managed and developed websites since 1999. While technology has significantly changed over the years, I have always sustained the goal of efficient ongoing site maintenance.

I invite you to view the portfolio of sites I have developed.

Your website extends the reach of your product or service to an accessible world wide audience. It is vital to first determine the intention of your website as it relates to your business or project.

Our initial consultations will allow me to assess the purpose of your website, with the goal of fulfilling it at every stage of the web development process. Our ongoing collaboration will ensure that your input is interlaced throughout.

Whether conceptual or technical, I tackle challenges with efficiency, creativity and tenacity.

“My beautiful website is testament to Karen Newell’s wonderful and insightful expertise. There are many different facets to my work, so I needed someone who would not only understand and create the perfect reflection, but would also embrace what I have to offer. She delivered more than just a website, she produced an award-winning site that I am very proud of. When I have a new idea she wholeheartedly listens, brainstorms, and then expands on it with the utmost integrity and gentleness. I am fortunate to have her nurture and care for one of the most important elements of my business. In the short time I have known Karen she has become a special friend, someone I can trust and share my work with both virtually and personally.”

“When looking for a web designer, I knew that I needed someone who was knowledgeable, creative, and able to pull together my ideas into a professional site.  What I didn’t know is that I’d also need a coach and support system!  I found Karen able to deliver on all fronts, even when I was fretting.  She remained kind and focused, and always right on top of the seemingly 100s of changes.  I’m happy to recommend her to everyone!”
Ellen Kellner

“I am so grateful I was referred to Karen to create my website. She was creative, timely and she was so easy to work with. She designed my website with me to reflect who I am, my services and the intention of my work. I love it and I have already referred her to other people.”
Karen Paolino

“Karen Newell is a consummate and outstanding professional. At a critical moment, just as I was in the process of trying to get my web-based research project up and running, she stepped in and took over my web site from my previous web master. Karen fixed all the existing bugs and problems in no time flat, and made changes to the site that I’d been wanting to make for years. She is always highly responsive and responsible, as well as extremely patient with my lack of technical expertise. I can’t praise her work, and her work ethic, enough. She’s a true gem!”
Joseph Felser

“The only thing more impressive than Karen’s ability and technical savvy to build a fabulous website in an easy to manage and accessible platform is the way she guides her clients through the process. Building a website is a very personal and sometimes scary endeavor and working with Karen felt like working with a trusted friend and partner. She doesn’t take things personally and offers an easy to understand answer for every question you can throw at her. She took my old site and made it 100 times better and managed to seamlessly incorporate all of my new offerings and services into this new and improved window to the world.”
